What this site does not do

This site sets no cookies, installs no trackers, uses no third-party audience measurement tool and embeds no social media buttons. That is why no banner asks for your consent when you arrive: there is nothing to consent to.

The booking module is not embedded in our pages. The “Book a table” button takes you to Zenchef, which then becomes responsible for what you enter there and applies its own policy.

The only two things we count

Two actions are counted: clicking on a telephone number and clicking through to the booking. What is recorded is the date, the site, the house and the page the click comes from. No IP address, no visitor identifier, and no information that would allow you to be recognised from one visit to the next.

These counters tell us whether a page makes people want to call. They say nothing about who calls, and they do not constitute personal data.

When you write to us

The contact and group request forms record what you write in them: your name, your e-mail address, your telephone number if you give it, and your message. To these are added the page the request comes from and a hash of your IP address, which serves only to stop automated submissions and from which the original address cannot be recovered.

This information is used to reply to you, and for nothing else. It is neither sold, nor exchanged, nor passed on to a third party for commercial purposes. It is kept for three years from our last exchange, after which it is deleted.

The legal basis for this processing is your request itself: you write to us in order to get a reply.

When you buy a gift card

When you buy a gift card, payment is made on Stripe's page, Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland. It is Stripe that receives your bank card number: we never see it. The payment page sets its own cookies, on Stripe's domain, for the duration of the payment.

We keep your name, your e-mail address, the first name of the person you are giving the card to and the message you wrote on it. They are used to send you the card, to find it again if it is lost, and to keep our accounts. The legal basis for this processing is the contract of sale, and this information is kept for ten years, the period required by our accounting obligations.

The newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we keep your e-mail address until you unsubscribe. Every mailing carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click, with no explanation required. Mailings are sent through Brevo, a French company whose servers are located in the European Union.

Your rights

You may at any time request access to the information we hold about you, its rectification, its erasure, the restriction of its use, or object to its processing. One address is enough: olivier@catzam.fr. We reply within one month.

If the reply does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL), at cnil.fr.
